Pic above: Taken from the fortress ramparts; actually this was my first glimpse of cherry blossoms ever in real life before I suffered a surfeit of them in Jinhae.

Have read with interest your account of solo travelling in Korea. Would like to read more of the emotions and feelings these picturesque places evoked in you rather than factual info! I imagine with a purchase of a digital camera your photos would capture what your heart 'sees' ;-)

Thanks very much for your feedback. I think I respond better to trees than to flowers. When I took those shots of the flowers at Jinju, I guess I was doing it for my mum's sake as she likes flowers. I loved the magnolias best, even more than the cherry blossom ( surprise!) so if you ask me why I didn't post any pics of the magnolias, my reply would be: Timing was off. When I snapped the pic of the tree, it was evening already and there wasn't enough light. But I'll remember to put more of my personal impressions in my blogs.
